It might look a bit strange to see a Volvo perched on top of a rotating mast, 14 metres above the ground. This unlikely example shows the unique measures that Exir Broadcasting & Telecom will go to in order to test under any and all environmental conditions.  The Test Range at our facility located in Hörby, Sweden was specially designed for quality tests on all types of antennas used in both the broadcasting and telecommunications sectors. This site was chosen for its ideal environment for testing due to the extremely low ground reflections. Test Range Hörby is located close to Exir Broadcasting & Telecoms`Research and Development Department and the TV and Radio Transmitting Station. At Test Range Hörby we carry out both `open´ tests for our own product development as well as conduct confidential tests for our customers. All measurements at Test Range Sweden are recorded using a HP Network Analyzer. The results can be calculated and loaded into the Exir Broadcastings`Hodiax v3.0 (Windows) software program, which has been specifically developed for antenna design and analysis. Hodiax v3.0 has been developed in-house at our R&D department and we have `built in´ many years of experience of antenna design and engineering into the software. Despite the software’s capability of managing complex data, Hodiax v3.0 is very user-friendly, with many familiar Windows features. Data can be moved between Hodiax v3.0 and any Windows application. The graphs can also be copied into any Windows drawing tool or word processing package.
