 The major part of Exir Broadcasting & Telecoms`business is conducted at the Hörby station for TV, radio and telecom. When the station was first built back in 1923 broadcasting equipment, especially components of high and reliable quality, were almost impossible to obtain. At the station a workshop was formed to manufacture the equipment in such demand. When other stations in Sweden and in neighbouring countries heard about these products, a new business idea quickly developed and Teracom Components was born. Teracom Components was a part of Teracom AB - the leading broadcasting operator in Scandinavia for 80 years. In 2007, Teracom Components was acquired by the Exir Group. Teracom Components announced a name change the 1st of October 2008. The new name is Exir Broadcasting & Telecom AB. |
